Horses Helping People is a non-profit organisation providing therapeutic horsemanship and equine facilitated learning. Helen built their original website in 2006, and we rebuilt the site in February 2011 to give them a fresh design as well as content-management features courtesy of ShinyCMS.
The redesign was intended to feel fresh and bright, showcasing photography of the rural site and with an emphasis on nature and the outdoors. A different image was selected to head each of the seven site sections, creating variety within the consistent page layout throughout the site. A CMS-generated breadcrumb at the head of each subpage aids user navigation.
The CMS templates were constructed with flexibility in mind, allowing the client to add and delete subpages in the various site sections as well as editing the copy and images on each page.
