LAPADA Modern represents a subsidiary branch of LAPADA, the international association of art and antiques dealers. Having previously worked closely with LAPADA to create an online presence for their Object of the Year competition, and improve the look and feel of their main website, I was familiar with the house style favoured by the association, and pleased to help develop the identity of their newest collective.
The specific focus of LAPADA Modern is 20th century and contemporary art. Inspired by the printed literature they had produced, I designed a website combining the classic, black and gold tones of the LAPADA branding with bold geometric shapes reminiscent of the Art Deco style. Each page showcases featured objects from selected art and antique dealers. I aimed to create an unusual, striking page layout which was also highly functional and usable, and neatly presented a large amount of content.
