Tiger Recruitment send out two regular email newsletters. Tiger Bulletin goes out to their client companies, and Tiger Eye is the quarterly news sheet for the temporary and permanent candidates on their books. Previously, the company had relied on .doc or even .ppt email attachments for these broadcasts. After consulting with the recruitment team about best practices for email marketing, I designed a template for each of the newsletters, with a consistent look and feel which reflected their existing branding.
I then developed these templates using approved standards for cross-platform compatability, including tabular HTML 4.0, inline CSS and compact page structure. The list of contents was placed so as to be visible in even the smallest preview panes. Some graphics were included to make the designs visually appealing, but I constructed the page to 'fail gracefully' and still be legible in clients which block images by default. The finished newsletters were sent out using email marketing software by MailChimp, enabling the team to edit and send future bulletins easily.
